My services start with a 1-2 hour in-home visit to sign a services contract and complete an intake form that helps me to clarify your needs and preferences. The cost for the consultation is $40. At this session I also review the postpartum plan provided to you previously which sets expectations between you and your partner. During this first in-home working session I also familiarize myself with your home, other family members, and pets. If desired, I can make suggestions as to how to set up feeding and changing areas. I will also be available via e-mail or phone for any last minute questions.
If you decide to retain me as your doula, I ask for a deposit covering the consultation and an 8-hour minimum contract period.
The initial 8-hours of service can be used anytime thereafter in three-hour minimum increments. My time starts after I arrive at your home. If my services involve errands using my personal car, I charge $0.485 per mile which is the official IRS reimbursement rate.
After the initial 8-hours are used, I am available as needed with a 3-hour minimum per day. Postpartum services typically continue through the first six-weeks, but I am happy to extend services as needed beyond that period.
My services are available Monday thru Thursday.
