About Ruth Mazner
I moved to Palo Alto in 1985, with my husband and three children, from Southern California where I was born and raised. I attended UCLA where I majored in bacteriology and graduated Magna cum Laude. After three years as a laboratory research assistant at UCLA and Amgen, I became a licensed medical technologist and worked at St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica until leaving to start a family.
I currently live in Menlo Park with my husband of 40-years. All of our children attended Palo Alto public schools and graduated from Palo Alto High School. All three children went on to graduate from liberal arts colleges, two in the East and one on the West Coast. Today, my youngest daughter lives in San Diego where she works as a licensed Social Worker. My middle daughter is pursuing a Nurse Practioner degree and lives in Menlo Park with her husband and 1 year old son. My son, his wife and 3 year old toddler live in Seattle.
Since relocating to Palo Alto, I have worked as a computer lab instructor at Walter Hays Elementary School in Palo Alto and as an office manager for two local medical practices and one high tech start-up.
